Adult Faith Development Ministry Team

Explore the faith development and education needs of adults in the congregation and community and initiate by scheduling events and classes, resources and materials.

Congregational Care Ministry Team

Provide opportunities for spiritual growth by caring for one another through support, assistance, and prayer.  Coordinate deacon ministry: training, visitation, support.  Coordinate food, transportation, childcare, adult care, and any other needs for funerals and other crisis situations.

Evangelism Ministry Team

Explore ways that Zion can communicate its Gospel message, both internally and externally; discern and promote ways that Zion is and can be known on "the community grapevine."  A place for the creative! 

Office Ministry

Tellers

Count and deposit Sunday offerings, provide church office with a record of amounts and an itemized list of special gifts and memorials.

Property Ministry Team

Maintain and develop the property and grounds of the church.  Identify repairs to facilities and envision future expansion; identify service providers.

Small Group Ministry Team

Offer a variety of opportunities for small group and large group growth. 

Social Justice Ministry Team

Lead the congregation to serve all people, following the example of our Lord Jesus, and to strive for justice and peace in the community and the world.  Identify and promote peace and justice ministry and concerns for the congregation through communication and solicitation of support for social justice programs of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

Stewardship Ministry Team

Challenge the members of Zion to recognize their calling as followers of Christ, and to offer their gifts and talents to His Kingdom.

Worship & Music Ministry Team

Be a coordinator and schedule worship service leaders - assisting ministers, lectors, servers and acolytes. Participate on the A-Team (Altar Guild) preparing the altar and chancel for worship.  Coordinate the celebration of our life in Christ with a variety of worship and artistic music experiences.

Youth and Family Ministry Team

Provide for overall faith development for youth in the context of family and congregational life. Plan and assist with Sunday School and children's church during 11 AM worship. Plan discussion groups to facilitate education and fellowship for parents.
