Women’s Groups
Women's Circles
provide
fellowship and Bible study. Each circle meets once a month and does
at least one service project per year.
Holy Comforters sewing group meets the
first and last Mondays every month to make quilts, lap robes,
pressure pillows, slippers and other items for the elderly.
Men’s Groups
Bible and Breakfast
meets Thursday at 7 AM at a neighborhood restaurant. A
30-minute Bible study is followed by breakfast and fellowship.
Men in Mission meets at Zion the first
Tuesday of every month at 7 PM for devotions, fellowship and
business. Men in Mission sponsor barbecues, chili suppers and
special projects to provide aid and scholarships for Seminary
students and college students.
Men’s Group meets the second Tuesday of
every month in member homes for mutual support, prayer and topic
study.
Caring and Sharing Groups
The “Gathering” meets the first
Thursday of the month, 10 AM-1:30 PM. Zion's Care Team works with
Interfaith Care Partners to provide respite for caregivers. The
group participates in games, light exercise, entertainment and a
light lunch.
Morning Fellowship
meets the third
Thursday of each month at 9:30 AM for cards, dominoes and checkers,
topped off by a light lunch.
Prayer Chain receives prayer requests
from the church office and prays for the needs of people.
Challenging/Stimulating Brain Teaser Groups
Zion Readers Book Club
meets at Zion
the fourth Thursday of the month from August through April to select
and discuss works of fiction, current or classic. The final yearly
meeting is at a local bookshop for recommendations on new releases.
Bridge Club
meets Tuesdays at Zion from 6 to 8 PM.
Seasoned players, novices and substitute players are welcome. |
