Zion Lutheran Preschool sees children as our hope for a better future and God's blessing to us all. Our mission is to provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment where each child's natural desire to learn is fed, his/her curiosity is encouraged, and where the building blocks for a love of learning, strong character, and a faith based life are laid.

History

Zion Lutheran Preschool dates back to 1967 when Zion Lutheran church launched one of Houston’s first Mother’s Day Out programs. The program blossomed and flourished but has always maintained its small family approach to the rearing of children.

Many of the original staff are still caring for the children and we are now teaching children of past attendees.

Our state of the art facility, which includes large open classrooms and a fantastic playground, was built in 1998.

Schedule

The school operates on a schedule similar to Houston Independent School District’s September to May school year.

Classes are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 AM -2 PM.

Extended hours are offered beginning at 8 AM until 5 PM. Younger children may attend a Tuesday/Thursday program.

Parent’s Day Out is offered Mondays for children 2 years and older.

Summer program is also offered for children that are enrolled in the program and if space permits new Fall attendees.
